Next step was to create her burgundy velvet pants that go with uniform.
The first attempt I used McCall's M4844 View F Pattern for the pants.

Creating these pants was pretty straight forward. The pants did however, have darts in the front and back. Which made them more of a low rise pants in my opinion.
After trying the pants on with the coat, I realized these weren't the best pants for this costume, if left a huge gap between the overcoat and the pants, that should not be there.

Second Attempt:
I decided to go with the rey pant pattern I've used before with a few modifications. Using this pattern I was going to extend the top of the pants just an inch 1/2 at the top, and then bring the pant bottoms down 8 inches to the ankles to make them boot cut. This pattern only calls for elastic, so it's more comfortable.
Up next, Padme Amidala Naboo Battle Uniform: Part Three. You'll see the complete costume with the trim, hemming, and the hook and eye on the overcoat.
