Kitty Skirt

I wanted to make this skirt for a christmas present for a friend.

I ended up using the Mccall's Pattern M7197 View C. It's the only skirt with the bow ties.

Cutting Everything out was the easy part . The thing that stumped me was the Band and ties.

I had to take the band apart once. I had help figuring out this part and incorporating the zipper.

After a few tries , it started coming together.

I'll have to alter it just a tad, but overall it looked great !

If I ever make another one here's a few things I'll change:

1. Wait to put the zipper in ,because with the band the zipper needs to be longer in the skirt

2. Sew the ties into the side seam of the skirt.
