Preparing for the convention, Things you need to know

Ok so you've bought your ticket and you want to schedule your entire con experience from beginning to end.

A lot of Conventions now have apps. The apps are very helpful for knowing what times the panels are, where to find your favorite things, and some even you can create a little planner for your day.

The bigger conventions usually have them, I know for a fact that Dragon Con, New York Comic Con, San Diego Comic Con, and Star Wars Celebration do.

Pictures and Signatures for Celebrity Guests

Convention buying photo opts & signature opportunities, you can usually find on the website. If the website doesn't have a date that will inform you, sign up for the newsletter!

When you do purchase the opt or signature

(Yes you do have to pay; sometimes as low as $10 but i've seen the prices be $400)

You will get a email notification stating the time and location your opt/signature will be.

Convention Store

Things to know about convention stores. If you want an exclusive item it's best to go ahead and buy it if it's offer online. At conventions you have to hurry to get the size you need usually the first or second day, or you may not get it. The line to the convention exclusive stores are usually long and you may have to wait a few hours. At Star Wars Celebration I waited 2 hours just to get into the store. Just be prepared, if there's something you really really want, you'll probably be waiting for a while.

I will tell you this, sometimes though after the convention they will bring back some exclusives for a limited time online.
